At Elevate we believe in building relationships and understanding the people you would like to do business with. Every Friday we usually hear from our members answering our quick-fire questions. This week we hear from Grace Dyke from Yellow Jigsaw
Elevate with…..
• Favourite place for a meeting- House of Books and Friends
• Best place for a business lunch – People’s History Museum café
• Best advice you have been given – “Your reputation is your most important asset. It precedes you before you walk into the room and lingers long after the work is done.”
• Who should we know from your network? - My partner in crime, Kirsty Day – a creative good egg and former MEN journalist who is always up for discussing new ideas.
• Best way to contact you? Email! grace@yellowjigsaw.co.uk
• Favourite type of events – Events with heart and quirkiness: people connect with people, and events with a bit of personality help to foster these connections and help attendees to find common ground with each other. Elevate’s Gamechangers event is a perfect example!
• Where will we find you outside of work? Walking my pooch Helders or at a gig with my business partner, Kirsty Day and our other halves.
• Favourite book- business or personal – “All The Light We Cannot See” – now on Netflix for those who prefer TV adaptations
• Favourite Podcast- business or personal. – My most listened to podcast is The Adam Buxton Podcast. He has a huge back catalogue of ‘ramble chats’ with hundreds of diverse, interesting guests. And he creates the best ad jingles!
• Places outside of GM to visit? Anglesey is a place close to my heart – my family stay on the island at least once a year.
• Shout out to a mentor or someone who inspires you – CEO of Salford CVS, Alison Page. I am lucky enough to work closely with Alison as Chair – she is an unstoppable force who fiercely defends and champions the voluntary sector – and all those the sector works with.
